World ranking skateboarding male
Olympic gold medalist Shaun White has seemingly been able to defy gravity every time he steps on a snowboard. As a native of Southern California, White developed a passion for action sports as a child and turned pro by the time he was in his teens. He dominated the sport of snowboarding, turning in death-defying tricks in halfpipe competitions that often landed him in first place. White amassed multiple gold medals at the Winter X Games and U.S. Open titles. An equally accomplished skateboarder, White became the first athlete to win gold medals in two different sports at the Summer X Games and the Winter X Games in 2003. Yet even with his all his early achievements and commercial success, White still had more tricks up his sleeve when he competed in the 2006 Olympic Winter Games in Turin, Italy. The athlete stunned millions worldwide when he won his first gold medal in the snowboard halfpipe event. He made history at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver, Canada for earning the highest score and for winning back-to-back gold medals in the sport. Following this, in 2011, White won his fourth straight gold medal at the Winter X Games for his Superpipe run. At the 2012 Winter

CANADIAN NATIONAL RANKING LIST
What is the new ranking system platform?
Canada Skateboard has partnered with Wyldata, a leader in data collection in action sports to boost and evolve the Canada Skateboard Ranking List. The new list is part of the Wyldata’s Global Skate Ranking and is subject to an international usual. This list is a beta version and we are productive to eliminate any bugs. Please submit any issues with the list or questions not captured in this FAQ to info@canadaskateboard.ca
How are the rankings calculated?
The ranking lists the top Canadian athletes per discipline (Park, Street and Vert) and gender by their best three results during the past year (365 days from the ranking calculation date). The ranking points for a rivalry and rank is determined by the quality of field and the field size. Full ranking details can be found here: Ranking rule book.
As more skaters are added into the list and more events are submitted the ranking and event ethics will improve.
What events are included when calculating values for the ranking list?

The Skateboard Rookie Rank is a ranking system developed as a qualification criterion for the World Rookie Finals and as a base for National Rookie Ranks. During the World Rookie Tour each official WRT event and many other partner events, will assign valuable points for the World Rookie Rank. At the moment the featured events are only street competitions organized by local clubs, organizers or national Sk8 federations.
Not only events the World Rookie Fest´s can be part of the Skateboard Rookie Rank. Any event can be part of the Skateboard Rookie Rank as long as grom – and rookie aged riders participate as well. For example, the European Best Foot Forward Tour by Blue-Tomato, featuring 10 stops all over Europe, for riders of all ages in one group, is already part of the Skateboard Rookie Rank.
NB: Starting from 2022 WRT Skateboarding the max age to join is 19 years (instead of 21 of the previous season). Find more information here The Tour – World Rookie Tour

Skateboard Rookie Ra The data behind it is our Skateboarder Database, the most complete and up to date list there is. We've been maintaining it daily since 2013. We log results from all publicly published skateboarding competitions we know of. Each is assigned a point value based on a variety of factors about the event. The top 20 placings in that event are then awarded a certain percentage of the points to calculate these rankings. Events with divisions that have fewer than five riders get allocated half the points due to the lower level of competition. For Advanced divisions, points are cut in half when there are fewer than three riders rather than five. Placings in each event earn these percentages of the points allocated to that event: 1st gets 20% of the points, 2nd gets 15%, 3rd gets 12%, 4th gets 9%, 5th gets 8%, 6th gets 7%, 7th gets 6%, 8th gets 5%, 9th gets 4%, 10th gets 3%, 11th gets 2%, and 12th through 20th places get 1%, for a total of 100% of the points for that event.Skateboarding Global Rankings
