It was already very late at night, you didn't really know what time it was, all you knew was that you were awake in your bed, unable to fall asleep.
You lay in your bed for a while longer, just staring at the ceiling until you decide to get out of bed, throwing the blanket aside and putting on your slippers, heading to your bedroom door.
Today, the whole of Gardenview seemed very dark, thank goodness you could easily illuminate your front with your eyes, not that meant you had night vision… unfortunately, that wasn't the case.
You walked slowly around aimlessly for a while until you decided to go to the lobby to rest.
Once there, you were greeted by a somewhat surprising sight.
Astro was awake. Awake, outside his room, not sleeping and lying on the lobby floor at dawn!
You don't know how long you stared at him in surprise, but the next thing that happened took you out of your thoughts.

The room was quiet—too quiet.
At least, until you woke with a strangled gasp, heart pounding in your chest like it wanted to escape. The dream itself was already slipping away, dissolving into the dark the moment your eyes blinked open. But the feeling lingered, clawing at your throat and ribs. Fear. Cold. A hollow ache that made your hands shake when you tried to wipe at the tears sliding hot and fast down your cheeks.

Shelly was unsure if she’d ever had such a bad day in her life. Sure, there were some memories she could recall of getting hurt or having a multitude of toons forget her name- but this really did just so happen to top it all. Dandy had told them to go down in the elevator to help fill up machines for some reason- and had successfully put them all in danger thanks to the twisteds. Mutated, feral toon counterparts that attacked them. And yet, despite the fact Boxten had been ripped apart a few floors ago- Dandy wouldn’t let them back up, and just keep selling his stupid items- ignoring their questions and begging. Shelly doubted they even noticed she was missing from the elevator. And how with how Dandy kept bringing the elevator further down and down, the elevator was not coming back. Shelly was now on her own. And if she didn’t do something about it, she was going to die. I saw this on a few other blogs.. I figured I should make one. you can call me Astro.. um, pronouns are he/him.
