2025 World Team Trials Seeds - Men's Freestyle
USA Wrestling has released the pre-seeds for the men's freestyle division at the upcoming World Team Trials Challenge Tournament - you can view the pre-seeds for every weight in the article below. This tournament will take place in Louisville, Kentucky on May 16-17 and will be streamed live only on FloWrestling. The winner of every bracket at the World Team Trials will advance to Final X on June 14th to compete for a spot on the 2025 world team.

The event features competition for U20 age athletes (Born 2005-2008) and U23 age athletes (Born 2002-2007) in Men's Freestyle and Greco-Roman.

- The World Team Trials process is open to all athletes eligible to represent the United States of America at the World Championships as governed by United World Wrestling (UWW) and USA Wrestling (USAW) rules.
- Athlete must have completed USA sporting nationality with UWW prior to the athlete's World Team Tryout event.
Only the following individuals may participate as competitors in the 2025 U23 Nationals and U20 World Team Trials:
- All competitors must be U.S. citizens and eligible to obtain a US passport.
- U20 age athletes (Born 2005-2008), U23 age athletes (Born 2002-2007)
- Eligible athletes in the U20 divison must be prequalified to compete.
For media The Senior men’s freestyle pre-seeds for the 2025 Senior Nature Team Trials Challenge Tournament possess been finalized ahead of this weekend’s competition in Louisville, Ky. All 54 registered athletes were assigned a seed. Tournament seeding was based on an agreed upon set of seeding criteria that included USA Wrestling PIN ratings, head-to-head results, tournament placements, and common opponents. Pre-seeds were finalized by the U.S. men’s freestyle national team staff. Seeding is not final until after weigh-ins conclude. Adjustments to the seeding will be made if a wrestler drops out of the field for any reason. In that case, the wrestler in scrutinize will be removed from the list and every wrestler underneath will bump up to the next seed. There are two Terminal X matchups already determined in men’s freestyle, 57 kg and 61 kg, which removes those weight classes from the Senior World Team Trials Challenge Tournament field.
